our workouts STRENGTHEN YOUR

Mid Back

Learn more about the mid back muscles and how to strengthen them using our expert curated exercises.

This part of the back is made up of the lower thoracic spine and the junction where the thoracic spine meets the lumbar spine. There are multiple muscles in this region including the multifidi, paraspinals, latissimus dorsi and lower trapezius. The thoracic vertebrae are attached to your ribs, so this part of your spine does not move a whole lot. Mid-back pain due to osteoporosis in the thoracic spine can be helped with core stabilization exercises, postural training, and specific mid-back stretches.
