The neck flexors (also known as cervical flexors) flex (or “bend”) the neck forward, but the deep cervical flexors help stabilize the cervical spine. These muscles can become weak over time due to bad head positioning from hours spent looking at a screen, for example. Weakness in these muscles can contribute to headaches, poor posture and often pain.
