Reverse Arm Circles

Purpose

This movement warms up the muscles of your shoulders and mid back, enhancing your range-of-motion in these areas.

Set up

Stand with your feet hip width apart and your knees slightly bent.

Movement

Gently move one arm backward, and then circle the arm up and around to the front. Change sides as you shift your weight. Move your right arm as you shift your weight to the right, and then move your left arm as you shift your weight to the left.

Tips

  • You should not experience any pain in your shoulders during this exercise. If you do, decrease your range-of-motion to the point where you are no longer experiencing any discomfort.
