Kavita Patel, PT, DPT
Kavita Patel, PT, DPT is an Advanced Clinical Specialist PT at Kessler Rehabilitation Center where she leads the Bone Health Special Interest Group. In this role she has created bone health programs and developed educational content and screening tools to teach best practices to Kessler's clinical staff. She is actively involved in raising awareness about the importance of addressing bone health across the lifespan.
Kavita is a member of the Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation’s Ambassadors Leadership Council and is one of the Lead Trainers of the BHOF’s BoneFit USA courses. In addition, she is an Adjunct Faculty Instructor for Rutgers University’s DPT program.
As a physical therapist, Kavita provides rehabilitative services to her clients with the goal to maximize function and promote healthy and active lives. She is also a strong advocate of preventative care and promotes lifelong participation in safe and appropriate exercise activities to maintain health and wellbeing, functional independence, and a high quality of life.
Kavita obtained her B.Sc. in Physical Therapy from McGill University and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University. She has been a guest speaker on various bone health topics, including at the Interdisciplinary Symposium on Osteoporosis, American Congress of Rehabilitative Medicine Annual Conference, APTANJ, and Rutgers University’s Inter-Professional Education event.
