Dr. Rachel Pessah-Pollack, MD
Dr. Rachel Pessah-Pollack, MD, is an endocrinologist at NYU Langone Health, a bone health expert, Vice Chair of the International Society for Clinical Densitometry’s Annual Meeting, and recently completed 6 years as a member of the Board of Directors for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE).
In her work as an endocrinologist, she specializes in bone, thyroid, and reproductive conditions. She has been a member of the Board of Directors for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists from 2016-2022, and has co-authored the association's clinical practice guidelines for osteoporosis. Previously, she served as a Chair of the American College of Cardiology's (ACC) and the Diabetes Collaborative Registry (DCR) StakeHolder Committee.
Dr. Pessah-Pollack has published over 25 peer-reviewed articles which have been cited in over 4,000 other publications. Her research has appeared in journals that include Endocrine Practice and Journal of Women’s Health. She has lectured nationally and internationally and has been a featured medical expert on the Today Show.
Dr. Pessah-Pollack graduated from SUNY Upstate Medical School. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and her fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. In her current role at NYU Langone Health, she is actively engaged in medical education and lectures on endocrine topics and bone health.
