Arm Swings Front and Back

Purpose

Arm Swings Front and Back warms up the muscles of your shoulders in preparation for strengthening.

Set up

Stand with your feet hip width apart and your knees slightly bent.

Movement

Gently bring one arm forward and the other arm backward in an exaggerated arm swing. Allow your arms to move fluidly back and forth.

To get a total body warm-up, shift from side to side as you perform this exercise.

Tips

  • Do not twist your spine as you swing your arms.
